Procedures and general advice to manage the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Please read the below in regards to information to assist in the health & safety of all staff and guests that visit our sites from the threat of Coronavirus.

As you are all aware information regarding this virus is changing daily so we will make sure we stay up to date on the latest advice and keep you all informed of any new information that will help in preventing the spread of the virus.

As it stands now, we have implemented some procedures around travelling to affected countries, notification of illness and general advice. If you need any of this information clarified please speak to your direct manager or Nicole Walsh on 3027.

How can we help prevent the spread of Coronavirus at Stewart Automotive Group?

· Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water especially before and after eating

· Cover your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze and dispose of used tissues

· Use hand sanitiser where available

· If unwell, avoid contact with others by staying more than 1.5 metres from people

· Minimise non-essential interdepartmental contact where possible

· Avoid unnecessary physical contact with others such as shaking hands

Procedures for the notification of future travel to affected areas

A list of countries that are currently considered high and moderate risk can be found at www.health.gov.au/covid19-travellers

If any staff member is planning a trip to these areas, please notify your manager and be prepared to have to isolate yourself for 14 days to check for symptoms of the virus prior to returning to work.

Procedures for the notification of Illness

Currently the symptoms consistent with Coronavirus include fever, cough, sore throat, tiredness or shortness of breath.

Staff who have travelled to or have been exposed to someone who has travelled to a country that is at high or moderate risk for COVID-19, and are presenting with any of the symptoms needs to isolate themselves, seek medical advice immediately and notify their manager.

Staff who have not travelled or have not exposed themselves to people who have travelled to the countries that are high or moderate risk, and are presenting with symptoms please notify your manager of your illness and a plan can be made moving forward to minimise the risk of infection to others.
